Achieving Better Communities Mission

At Achieving Better Communities (ABC), our mission is to empower underserved youth and families in Baltimore City and beyond by providing the essential resources, relationships, and resilience they need to thrive. Founded by educator and coach Tarik Brown, ABC addresses the deep-rooted impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) through a holistic, trauma-informed approach. By partnering with nonprofits, government agencies, and grassroots organizations, we deliver wraparound services that support not only youth—but also the families and communities that surround them. Our work is rooted in connection, healing, and sustainable change as we strive to replicate our integrative model across Maryland—one community at a time.
